The State is blessed with several Solid minerals such as Granite, Laterite, Limestone, Shale, Clay, Sand, Kaolin, Feldspar, Phosphate, Mica, Silica Sand, Gypsum, Quartz, Tar sand, Glass sand, Gold etc. The State in general tops the list of Nigeria’s solid mineral producing states, and for the past two years it has progressively increased in output per tonnage, In 2016 and 2017 it recorded 16,367,547.50 tons and 2017 23,302,575 tons respectively accounting for about 50.94% of the total tons of solid minerals produced in 2017 in Nigeria, with Remoland being at the center of this outstanding figures.
